Jobs & Housing Volunteers
Workshop Development & Facilitation
Empower our Jobs & Housing program members by leading a workshop based on your own life skills or professional experience. Examples include resume building, job searching, financial literacy & understanding, time management, and more. The Food on Foot team will provide guidance and more information.
F.R.I.E.N.D. Mentorship Support
This exciting opportunity allows volunteers to directly engage with our Jobs & Housing Team Members by supporting them on their journey through our program and into the critical transition from adversities into a home of their own. Volunteers will play an important role in the long-term success of the individuals we serve as they break through barriers and end their cycle of homelessness. The Food on Foot team will provide training & more information.
Warehouse & Auxiliary Volunteers
Warehouse Support & Serving Preparation
Help shift resources and donation in the Food on Foot warehouse space (Pico & Fairfax area) to make room for incoming donations as well as help us stock our shelves and tote bins to easily transport everything to the Sunday Serving distribution site.
Sunday Resource Transportation
To maximize resources distributed to the unhoused community, we are in need of volunteer support to load food, beverage, and hygiene items into available vehicles and transport them to the serving site on Sunday mornings. A larger vehicle such as an SUV or full-size sedan is helpful but not required.
Sunday Meal Pickup & Delivery
Help pick up hot meals on scheduled Sunday afternoons. This one-hour commitment provides high impact and relief from food insecurity for at least one day to our most vulnerable. A larger vehicle such as an SUV or full-size sedan is helpful but not required.
In-Kind Donation Outreach & Auxiliary Support
With guidance and support from our staff, volunteers will identify and contact potential supporters and in-kind donors for donations of everyday items we can give to those who need them most at our Sunday Servings.
More Ways to Volunteer
Host A Community Drive
Collect items such as hygiene products, warm clothing, underwear, socks, and grooming products. You can host a table at one of our Sunday Servings to distribute your items or we can do it for you.
Event & Development Volunteers
Volunteer your help for on-site support during a fundraising event, conduct outreach for silent auction donated items, help with basic data entry, and more. We are currently building our fun and committed team for our annual Step Up Celebration fundraising event on Thursday, September 18th.
Social Media & Marketing Support
As part of our social media & marketing committee, skilled volunteers will provide support in a variety of ways based on their skillset. These skills include graphic design, photography, press outreach, website design, videographers, reel editing, and more! Contact
Youth on Foot
At Food on Foot, we believe that impact and change start with education. And who better to engage than the next generation of youth who will continue the work to end the struggles facing our society? We provide an abundance of opportunities for youth to learn and grow by providing the space and resources that allow them hands-on experience to impact their communities.
