Everyone needs a F.R.I.E.N.D.

F.R.I.E.N.D. is a new volunteer opportunity where Food on Foot supporters like YOU can work one-on-one with our Jobs & Housing members as they navigate their journey to full-time employment and stable housing.

F.R.I.E.N.D. volunteers act as Assistant Resource Coaches and help with tasks such as gentle financial advice, reasonable employment support, celebrating someone getting a home, and other support only a F.R.I.E.N.D. can provide

“Facing adversities alone is daunting; we thrive on companionship during tough times.
This comradery is what the F.R.I.E.N.D. program is about and why it’s so important to me.
In Los Angeles, with millions of residents, if a small percentage of friends contributed to bridge
homelessness to housing, we could eventually eradicate the crisis while supporting a successful community.”
