Are You A Landlord Or Property Manger?
Partner With Food on Foot’s Jobs & Housing Program

Food on Foot’s Jobs & Housing Program helps individuals transition from homelessness into stable employment and long-term housing. We partner with landlords and property managers throughout Los Angeles who are open to working with responsible, supported tenants backed by a structured, accountable program.

Our participants have steady employment, a certified and sustainable budget, consistent support, and direct financial backing from our organization.

Why Partner With Us?

Thoroughly Vetted Tenants

Participants are carefully screened before entering housing. They must:

We invest months preparing each participant for long-term housing success—because their success is our investment, too.

Guaranteed Move-In & Rental Support

Food on Foot provides:
This financial guarantee significantly reduces your risk and provides stability while the tenant establishes themselves.

Furnishing Support for Stability

We provide a one-time $1,200 furnishing allowance for essential household items. A functional, minimally furnished home reduces stress and supports on-time rent payments.

Certified Budget & Savings Requirement

Before moving in, each participant works closely with a Resource Coach to create a written, certified budget that accounts for rent, utilities, transportation, food, and other essential expenses. The plan also outlines a clear monthly savings goal based on their income to ensure long-term stability beyond our financial support.
Participants are required to save at least $5,000 while in the program to build a financial cushion and prevent a return to homelessness.

Ongoing Support & Accountability

Each tenant is paired with:

Participants must maintain employment, follow all lease terms, and remain engaged in weekly program activities to continue receiving assistance. Our team remains available as a direct point of contact and will collaborate promptly if any concerns arise.

Proven Stability

Our structured model—employment, budgeting, savings requirements, rental guarantees, and consistent accountability—creates a strong foundation for long-term housing success. Because we invest heavily in preparation and ongoing support, our participants are often more stable and reliable than applicants with similar rental histories.
We don’t offer a handout—we offer a hand up, backed by structure, accountability, and financial partnership.
